Recently, Hilaria Baldwin shared her reasoning behind regularly taking her children to cemeteries. During an appearance on the “Sibling Revelry” podcast with Oliver Hudson on June 16th, the yoga instructor and entrepreneur explained that these visits are quite frequent for her family.
“We spend time in cemeteries,” Hilaria, 41, stated, “exploring the history and acknowledging that it’s all part of life.” She revealed that the primary motivation behind these visits is to help her seven children understand death.
Hilaria, who is married to Alec Baldwin, confessed that she hopes to instill in her children a sense of peace and understanding surrounding death, rather than fear. “There’s a tremendous amount of peace there as well, not being afraid, not of death, but of people who have died,” she explained. She further clarified that she wants her children to feel comfortable and unafraid even after she passes away.
She tries to foster a connection with her children through these experiences. Interestingly, Hilaria admitted that her contemplation of mortality deepened after becoming a mother, explaining, “Once you become a parent, I think that how fragile life can be, it comes into my fears all the time.”
