Due to escalating tensions in the Middle East, the Balochistan government has temporarily closed all Iran border crossings in Panjgur, Gwadar, and Kech districts. Citing security concerns and regional instability, authorities have not specified a reopening date.
District administrations confirmed the closure, noting that crossings like Cheedgi and Jirak-Prom in Panjgur, and the Gabd-Kalato 250 border corridor in Gwadar, are suspended until further notice. Residents are being asked to avoid unnecessary travel and cooperate with authorities. The Radeeg-Mand border crossing in Kech has also been shut down, with the Deputy Commissioner citing the “volatile situation in Iran” as the reason and emphasizing the need for public caution.
Adding to travel concerns, Pakistan’s Ministry of Interior has advised citizens against traveling to Iran, highlighting the ongoing conflict between Iran and Israel and the suspension of airspace between the two countries.
However, the Taftan border crossing in the Chagai district remains open. Authorities have confirmed that cross-border trade and passenger movement are continuing as usual at this location.
