On Thursday, June 12, 2025, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif embarked on an official one-day trip to the United Arab Emirates. Accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Information Minister Attaullah Tarar, and Special Assistant to the PM Tariq Fatemi, he is scheduled to meet with UAE leaders to discuss various topics and areas for potential collaboration.
According to a statement from the Foreign Office, this visit highlights the strong and brotherly relationship between Pakistan and the UAE, built on mutual trust, shared values, and close cooperation across numerous sectors.
During his visit, Prime Minister Sharif will hold high-level discussions, including a bilateral meeting with Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of the UAE and Ruler of Abu Dhabi. These interactions will cover a broad spectrum of bilateral, regional, and global issues of mutual interest and concern.
The Foreign Office stated that the Prime Minister’s visit aims to further solidify the longstanding, fraternal relations between Pakistan and the UAE, strengthen economic ties, and encourage diverse collaborations. Both leaders reiterated their dedication to peace and progress in the region, pledging to work closely together on matters of mutual interest. The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to fostering greater cooperation, particularly in key sectors, to ensure a brighter future for both nations.
