    Traffic Resumed In Karachi After A Two-Day Blockade

    After two days of protests and roadblocks, the port city returned to normal on Wednesday. All roads are open to traffic, police said.

    Hub River Road in Baldia Town, Karachi is also open for traffic as protests in the area have ended.
    Police said the situation was normal and no roads were closed anywhere. Additional police personnel are deployed to avoid any untoward situation.

    In the last two days, when activists of a religious party staged a sit-in at major intersections in Karachi, commuters faced difficulties, spending hours on the streets.

    90 miscreants arrested

    Law enforcement agencies continue to crack down on protesters.

    In Central District, five different FIRs were registered at four different police stations, Soldier Bazaar, New Town, PIB Colony and Jamshed Quarters.

    According to District Malir SSP Irfan Bahadur, who was also injured after some protesters hurled stones at police, the Star Gate area was badly affected. However, a heavy contingent of law enforcement managed to control the situation and arrested 16 miscreants and registered a case at the airport police station.
    In the southern district, Kharadar police registered a case against the miscreants, while police also arrested a religious party worker.

    Bilal Colony and New Karachi police arrested 35 miscreants in Central District after registering cases against them.
    In Maghrib District, Mominabad, Baldia and Orangi Town police arrested 25 people.
