    Sugar Supply Starts in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa at Government Discounted Rates

    PESHAWAR: Sugar supply to the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has been started at government subsidized rates.
    According to the food department, the first consignment of sugar has been provided to dealers in Mardan and Bannu at government discounted rates, as a result of which discounted rates are available to Chinese citizens in Mardan and Bannu markets.
    The food department said that the discounted sugar would be delivered to Peshawar district in a few hours and similarly sugar would be sent to all the districts of the province at a discounted rate.
    In this regard, Finance Minister Atif Khan said that citizens will be able to buy sugar at the rate of Rs 90 per kg, the district administration should keep a close eye on hoarding.
    He said that the district administration had intensified crackdown against artificial wholesalers.
