    Semi-finals: Australia Continue Batting In Pursuit Of Pakistan’s Target Of 177 Runs

    Australia are batting in pursuit of Pakistan’s 177-run target in the second semi-final of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.

    Australia scored 52 runs for the loss of one wicket at the end of 6 overs.
    Pakistan scored 176 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs, with Mohammad Rizwan scoring 67 and Fakhr Zaman 55.
    In the match being played in Dubai, Australian captain Aaron Finch won the toss and invited Pakistan to bat first.
    The good news for Pakistan was that the doctors declared Shoaib Malik and Mohammad Rizwan fit for the match and they are part of the match today.
    It should be noted that Pakistan is unbeaten in the last 16 T20 matches in UAE but Australia has won all 4 knockout matches against Pakistan in ICC event.
    Pakistan’s innings
    Pakistan scored 176 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs, with Mohammad Rizwan scoring 67 and Fakhr Zaman 55.
    The Pakistani openers also gave the team a great start against Australia and a 71-run partnership was formed between the two.
    Pakistan’s first wicket fell in the 10th over when captain Babar Azam scored 39 off 34 balls and was caught by Zampaki. Babar Azam became the highest run scorer in the Debut T20 World Cup
    Babar Azam opened his account with a brilliant four against Australia in the second semi-final of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, beating Pakistan cricket team’s batting consultant Matthew Hayden.
    Matthew Hayden scored 265 runs in the 2007 T20 World Cup, more than Babar has now scored.
    Mohammad Rizwan and Fakhr Zaman formed a 72-run partnership after losing one wicket.
    Pakistan did not change their squad against Australia.
    When the total score of Pakistan team reached 143 runs, Rizwan played a brilliant innings of 67 runs and was caught by Starc’s ball.
    Muhammad Rizwan became the first player to score 1000 T20 International runs in a calendar year.

    Muhammad Rizwan completed a thousand T20 International runs in the year 2021 by playing an innings of 67 runs against Australia. Rizwan is the first batsman in the world to score 1000 T20 International runs in a calendar year.
    Besides, Mohammad Asif was dismissed without scoring a run on the first ball while Shoaib Malik returned to the pavilion with just one run while Fakhr Zaman batted aggressively in the last overs and remained unbeaten on 55 off 32 balls.
    For Australia, Mitchell Starc took two wickets and Pat Cummins and Zampa took one wicket each.

    Australia did not have a good start in pursuit of Pakistan’s target of 177 runs and already in the over captain Aaron Finch returned to the pavilion after becoming LBW on Shaheen Shah’s ball at zero.
    It should be noted that in the first semi-final of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, New Zealand defeated England yesterday and qualified for the final for the first time.
